Presented in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center of the Performing Arts

NewYork-Presbyterian

As part of The Art of Wellbeing series—presented in collaboration with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital—this session explores storytelling as a powerful tool for reflection, connection, and healing. The Art of Wellbeing invites participants of all backgrounds to center themselves, release stress, and connect through the transformative power of shared personal narratives.

The Moth is a nonprofit dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Join this free interactive workshop to learn key elements of storytelling found in their New York Times best-selling book, How To Tell a Story: The Essential Guide to Memorable Storytelling from The Moth. Guided by an expert Moth instructor, using customized prompts and exercises, you will begin to craft a true, personal story of your own. Everyone will explore and share story ideas together and selected volunteers will have the opportunity to share with the whole group. There’s no need to prepare anything in advance, we will develop your stories in the workshop. We ask that you remain present, curious, and ready to take notes!

To inspire your wellness story, consider the following prompts supplied by The Moth and NewYork-Presbyterian, the Official Hospital of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts:
• Tell us about a time when you were inspired to make a change to your health or wellbeing.
• Tell us about a moment when you overcame a challenge.
• Tell us about a time when someone motivated you to make a change.
• Tell us about a health challenge (your own or someone else’s) that changed your worldview.
• Tell us about a moment when you felt a profound sense of wellbeing.
