Presented in collaboration with New Latin Wave

FUTUROS: New Ideas in Composition showcases some of the most compelling Latine artists working at the intersection of contemporary, experimental, and neo-classical music. This boundary-defying concert series at the David Rubenstein Atrium presents bold new pieces that celebrate the richness and complexity of Latine cultures, and highlights artists whose work expands the narrative of what Latine music can be, honoring diverse musical traditions while exploring new sonic futures.

The upcoming season centers on the transformative power of the voice, featuring visionary compositions for voice and chamber opera that experiment with vocal technique, reimagine narrative form, and conjure immersive sound worlds. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and pairing rising talents with established composers, FUTUROS amplifies the next generation of artists redefining what vocal music can be. Join us for two evenings of revelatory storytelling, where voice becomes vessel, instrument and catalyst, a living archive of memory and metamorphosis.
