Born in Colombia and raised in The Bronx, Manuela Sánchez Goubert is a rising star vocalist, composer, and producer whose work intermingles the sound of Latin American folkloric traditions with contemporary jazz. Her lyrics explore identity, home, and the complex dialogue between traditional and modern music making. Sánchez Goubert is a Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Ambassador and a 2024 Leading Ladies of Entertainment mentee. A summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and member of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, she is also a recipient of a DownBeat Award. Her debut album, 2024's Raíces, deftly laces the vast world of Latin American folk music with jazz improvisation and passionate melody. For her headlining Lincoln Center debut, Sánchez Goubert will present songs from Raíces and her forthcoming sophomore album.
