Join Erin Lunsford Norton (Associate Director, Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center & Special Projects), Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center musicians, and guest artists for an inside look at the lives of orchestral musicians and insights into the evening's concert program. In this pre-concert talk, Norton and her guests explore the many ways composers and musicians inspire each other to move orchestral music forward. The three composers on the evening’s program (Debussy, de Falla, and Poulenc) intersected and inspired each others’ music in profound ways. Together we will explore how these kinds of musical intersections and relationships in our modern world continue to fuel the development of orchestral music, and push it in exciting new directions.
