Jamaican-born and Canada-based vocalist Shernette Amoy Evans, aka Ammoye, is a self-proclaimed "soul rebel" whose wholly unique future-forward reggae sound incorporates old-school rocksteady dancehall and dubstep, infused with gospel and R&B. A seven-time Juno Award nominee for Reggae Recording of the Year, Ammoye's enchanting voice and message of self-driven empowerment have made her a favorite for many music tastemakers and the leading candidate for Canadian Reggae’s “Next Big Thing.” Her uplifting messages of love, unity, and social justice speak to themes of compassion, forgiveness, and the importance of standing up for what one believes is right. At this exciting live show, Ammoye celebrates both her Lincoln Center debut and the release of her third solo LP, The Shift, which focuses on the artist's personal journey of realignment, harmony, transformation, and evolution.
