The 79rs Gang melds modern Hip-Hop sensibilities and traditional New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian music for a joyful celebratory concert for all ages! The splendid theater and music of the Mardi Gras Indian parade honors the bond between Native Americans and Black Americans, a connection embodied in the 79rs Gang origin story. Formed in 2013 by Big Chief Romeo Bougere of the 9th Ward Hunters and Big Chief Jermaine Bossier of the 7th Ward Creole Hunters, these leaders joined musical forces, and the result is an infectious, danceable fusion, sure to get the whole family moving!

Run time: approximately 1 hour
