Presented in collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts

As pillars of the queer community since before the Stonewall rebellion, drag entertainers are no strangers to the revolutionary act of spreading hope and love to younger generations. Who better to lead young minds through the landscape of a magical fairy kingdom than real-life drag royalty? Programmed in collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Drag Story Hour NYC is an interactive storytelling event specifically developed for children ages 3 to 8 that features local costumed performers reading picture books, singing songs, and leading dance activities in a fun and age-appropriate introduction to gender spectrum diversity. This fabulous first exposure to drag as dress-up celebrates difference, builds empathy, and presents kids with the tools and confidence to better express themselves.
