Get ready to rethink everything you know about cumbia at a very special Pride month event featuring the unmistakably unforgettable Kumbia Queers from Buenos Aires! This non-binary and lesbian quintet blends the grimy, electronic-driven subgenre of cumbia villera with driven guitar rock for a uniquely dynamic fusion of traditional and cutting-edge sounds. As NPR Latino says, “they’re no punchline. They’re for real.” Many of the members of the Kumbia Queers hail from the influential Argentinian ’90s punk trio She-Devils, who bring that combo's signature grungy, DIY style to life with million-stream hits like "Mientes" and “Puesta”. The band's debut at Lincoln Center will feature a relentless blast of tropical-punk originals, covers, and new tracks from the group's latest album Fiesteria. A show with Kumbia Queers is more than just a concert; it's a celebration of inclusivity and freedom where everyone is invited to let loose and join the party!

Run time: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
