Multi-disciplinary performance artist Kyoko Takenaka makes their Lincoln Center debut this winter, in collaboration with anti-disciplinary artist Tobi Adebajo (UK), artistic director Prisca Choe, and dancer Marie Lloyd Paspe. The evening will be composed of original movement, music, installation work, and wardrobe pieces surrounding an oceanic dreamscape that incorporates themes of water, grief, rebirth, and integration with nature. This performance is a fusion of the artists’ diasporic experiences and expressions; highlighting ancestry and collective healing—from Japanese + Yoruba mythology and butoh + bata movement, to Filipinx kapwa philosophy, to the Korean concept of ‘Han'.

Lincoln Center uplifts the value of interdependence practiced by the disability community. We ask that you practice collective care by wearing a mask to protect those around you. Masks will be provided and strongly suggested at the door.

Run time: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes
