The fourth annual Festival of Firsts presents internationally acclaimed countertenor Key’mon Murrah as he makes his Lincoln Center debut in the world premiere of a one-of-a-kind theatrical recital from James Blaszko, director of Soundcake: Aural Confections by Sapphira Cristál & Monét X Change. Heralded by Opera News for the “resplendent, voluptuous tone throughout his enormous range and phrasing with the feel of fine silk,” Key’mon performs show-stopping classics and fabulous new repertoire with collaborative pianist Manuel Arellano — all supported by a witty tale of a tenor’s vocal transition.
