The Teatro Real (Royal Opera of Spain) is embarking on a new tour of the United States, marking its fifth visit to New York.

The programme will include Joaquín Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez, one of the cornerstones of the guitar repertoire, performed by the master guitarist Juan Manuel Cañizares. Music by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla will also be featured, including selections from the suite El amor brujo and Siete canciones populares españolas, featuring the heart-warming voice of soprano Adriana González.

Finally, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov’s legendary Scheherazade brings the programme to a close, with the Orchestra of the Teatro Real playing a key role. An unforgettable evening of music conducted by Maestro Gustavo Gimeno, Principal Conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Teatro Real.
