Robert Jones, Jr. , Dr. Baz Dreisinger, and DJ KS 360
THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Brooklyn’s own Mahogany L. Browne, a prolific writer and avid advocate for public art, is Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence. Browne has written works of fiction, stage plays and critical essays, edited six anthologies, and authored another half-dozen poetry collections. For her Seen, Sound, Scribe series, Browne curates thought-provoking and often politically driven evenings of spoken word, spirited conversation, and presentations of new work. Tonight's program includes a showing of the prison system documentary film Incarceration Nations and a post-screening talkback with the work's director, Dr. Baz Dreisinger. The film will be followed by a reading from Robert Jones, Jr., the author of the 2021 New York Times bestselling novel The Prophets and music from DJ KS 360 to conclude tonight’s installation.
