Colombian singer-songwriter Mónica Giraldo is renowned for both her fluency on acoustic guitar and her beautifully nuanced original compositions. A nominee for Best New Artist at the Latin Grammy Awards, Giraldo's rootsy playing style and liltingly melodic voice give beautiful character to her warm approach to pop folk. Giraldo's soothing ballads are layered with influences from beyond her native Bogotá, suggesting a wandering ear that finds inspiration in the creativity, spirit and sound of folk singer-songwriters around the world, the Colombian Caribbean rhythms and the Latin American Classics. Giraldo's formal training as an architect can be clearly heard in her love for design and sound construction, skills she's maneuvered into multi-million YouTube and Spotify plays. This show marks Giraldo's Lincoln Center Atrium debut.
