To celebrate the opening of Prelude Café and Bar, Curated by Nespresso, at Alice Tully Hall, we’ve put together a playlist of some of our favorite classical preludes performed by some of Lincoln Center’s most beloved performers. It opens with appropriate fanfare: Igor Stravinsky’s prelude to his 1951 opera The Rake’s Progress. We then go back to 1687 for some of the earliest works in the form by pioneering French Baroque composer Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre to begin our journey through 330 years of music.

Best enjoyed with a Nespresso!

Nespresso is the Official Coffee of Lincoln Center.
