Harlem Renaissance Orchestra at Midsummer Night Swing (2012)
The Harlem Renaissance Orchestra keeps the spirit of jazz legend Illinois Jacquet alive with classic big-band tunes and blazing uptown energy. In 2012, they closed out the Midsummer Night Swing season with their crowd-pleasing night of hard-swinging Big Band classics. Dancers paid tribute to Lindy innovator Frankie Manning with a dance contest as the audience crowned the fourth annual Ambassador Prize winners.
