From "The Swing Era: Revolution in Rhythm"
November 17, 2016
At "The Swing Era: Revolution in Rhythm," the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis debuted new compositions by trumpeter Marcus Printup inspired by the 1930s. Printup's music embodied the sounds, uplifting feelings, and sense of community associated with an era of great music and productive engagement. The JLCO was joined by swing dancers Paolo Pasta Lanna and The Rhythm Stompers.
