Beethoven’s youthful, effervescent string trio opens a program of chamber music classics. For Mendelssohn’s virtuosic piano quartet, the strings are joined by the superb pianist Gloria Chien, who switches to romantic mode in the second half for a mature and majestic piano trio by Brahms. The cast of musicians includes the riveting violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, the commanding cellist Clive Greensmith, and the incomparable violist Paul Neubauer. Click here for more info (Opens in a new window)
