A feisty pensioner, infamous for hounding the local district office with innumerable complaints, clashes with a scrupulous young public servant. But when the older woman discovers he’s fluent in English, she tempers herself and asks him to teach her. He reluctantly agrees and an unlikely bond develops, until her tragic secrets very publicly resurface.
