Lincoln Center’s Fall Gala will take place on Tuesday, November 1 and will honor Trustee Laurie M. Tisch with the Lincoln Center Distinguished Service Award. The evening will feature a performance that celebrates Lincoln Center’s commitment to presenting the best artists from around the world. Presented by Live From Lincoln Center, Joshua Bell: Seasons of Cuba will highlight the Chamber Orchestra of Havana in their U.S. debut alongside Joshua Bell – the beloved and virtuoso violinist – and other exciting special guests. The event will also include a cocktail reception and pre-performance dinner.

Laurie M. Tisch
Laurie M. Tisch, Honoree
Laurie M. Tisch is the President of the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund, which strives to increase access and opportunity for New Yorkers. Ms. Tisch’s philanthropy stems from her family’s legacy of giving in New York City, from years of experience serving on boards, building institutions, and developing partnerships, and from an engaged civic life.
Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and a Trustee of the Aspen Institute. She is also a co-owner and member of the Board of Directors of the New York Football Giants.
Ms. Tisch is a recipient of many awards for philanthropy and public service and an honorary doctorate from Yeshiva University. She has received the Public Health Association of New York City’s Special Merit in Public Health Award and the No Kid Hungry Hero Award from Share Our Strength for her initiatives promoting access to healthy foods in low-income communities. Earlier this year, she was honored by the United Way of New York City at the 10th Anniversary of the Women’s Leadership Award.
