Throughout his career, he’s played with artists including Charlie Haden, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, and Sonny Rollins, and he’s also a Grammy Award-winning arranger, orchestrator, and conductor who has written and/or conducted for Natalie Cole, Shirley Horn, the London Symphony, and Diana Krall. His latest record, 2013’s solo piano session Heart to Heart, received a rare five-star rating from DownBeat magazine. This one-night-only event is a birthday celebration not to be missed.
