Aaron Whitby

On the heels of his debut album as a frontman, award-winning producer, composer, songwriter, and pianist Aaron Whitby showcases his jazz and funk roots with his “groove-heavy powerhouse of a band” (Time Out New York). With Cousin from Another Planet, Whitby—best known for his work with longtime collaborator Martha Redbone—offers what Greg Tate describes as “a funk-da-fied jam session feel undergirding tight, knotty, jazz-smart progressions.” Get ready for a musical and visual experience, accompanied by a video art show by VJ Lady Firefly, that captures the colorful worldview of this soulful artist.
